CONSOLIDATING VACCINATION OPERATIONS FOR ENDEMIC COVID-19

The Ministry of Health (MOH) will be consolidating the vaccination operations across our Children Vaccination Centres (CVCs) and Joint Testing and Vaccination Centres (JTVCs) from 17 April 2023.

2.     Having safely transited to endemic COVID-19, we continue to maintain a network of vaccination sites comprising JTVCs, polyclinics and participating Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPCs). This baseline of vaccination sites serves the current vaccination needs of the population while allowing us the flexibility to scale up operations when necessary.

3.     In the meantime, we will further rationalise and streamline our vaccination centres, as follows.

Closure of JTVC Commonwealth and Relocation of JTVC Sengkang

4.     JTVC Commonwealth, which offers the bivalent Moderna/Spikevax and Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty vaccines for adults, will cease operations with its last day of operations on 29 April 2023, due to low demand and proximity to the JTVC Bukit Merah. Residents in this area who wish to receive their COVID-19 vaccines will continue to be served by JTVC Bukit Merah or selected PHPCs nearby.

5.     From 2 May 2023, we will relocate JTVC Sengkang to 19A Sengkang Square, next to Sengkang MRT station, which is a better location for the public. The current JTVC Sengkang at 60 Sengkang East Way will cease operations from 30 April 2023.

6.      With the latest changes, there will be a total of nine JTVCs located islandwide. Please refer to the Annex for the full list of JTVCs and the vaccines offered from 17 April 2023 onwards. Individuals may continue to walk in to the JTVCs before 6.30pm on weekdays, and 12.30pm on Saturdays, or book an appointment using their existing booking link. Please visit https://gowhere.gov.sg/vaccine to locate the nearest vaccination site and its operating hours.

Streamlining our Vaccination Operations

7.     Given that demand for vaccination for children is low and stable, we will be closing the CVCs located at Our Tampines Hub, One Punggol Hub, Queenstown Community Centre, Sembawang Community Club, and Taman Jurong Community Centre. The last day of operations of the current CVCs is 15 April 2023.

8.     From 17 April 2023, vaccination for children will be relocated to selected JTVCs.  Hence, the public will be able to access both adult and child vaccinations at the same location. With this transition, there will be six JTVCs offering COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 6 months to 11 years old. These are JTVC Ang Mo Kio, JTVC Bukit Merah, JTVC Jurong East, JTVC Kaki Bukit, JTVC Sengkang and JTVC Yishun.

9.      COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 6 months to 4 years will continue to be offered by appointment at Bukit Batok, Eunos, Kallang, and Yishun Polyclinics, while vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 years will continue to be offered by appointment at Bukit Panjang, Pioneer, Punggol and Woodlands Polyclinics, as well as at selected PHPCs.

10.     Vaccination remains our primary defence against COVID-19. We encourage all individuals to take their vaccinations when eligible. Returning Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and Long-Term Pass Holders who have not met MOH’s COVID-19 vaccination guidelines are also encouraged to come forward to receive their vaccinations as soon as possible. Individuals aged 5 years and above should receive three doses of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty, Moderna/Spikevax or Novavax/Nuvaxovid vaccines, as applicable, with those 60 years and above recommended to receive an additional booster around one year after the last booster. Children aged 6 months to 4 years are recommended to complete two doses of Moderna/Spikevax or three doses of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty.
