Mr Saktiandi Supaat
MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC
Question No. 1358
To ask the Minister for Health whether Singaporeans who are currently overseas and affected by the temporary suspension of Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) will be able to benefit from the Quarantine Order (QO) Allowance Scheme and Leave of Absence/Stay-Home Notice (SHN) Support Programme if they return by non-VTL options and are unable to work due to being placed on SHN or QO.
Written Answer
All returning Singaporeans are eligible for the Quarantine Order (QO) Allowance if they were issued a QO and meet the eligibility criteria. Those returning from Category II, III and IV countries are required to serve isolation under a Stay Home Notice (SHN) and will be issued a QO if they are identified as close contacts of a confirmed COVID-19 case.
The Leave of Absence/SHN Support Programme, introduced in early 2020, is not applicable if the LOA/SHN began on or after 7 April 2020.
