The Sinovac-CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine will cease to be offered under the National Vaccination Programme (NVP) after 30 September 2024. As we have transited to manage COVID-19 as an endemic disease, the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) requires all COVID-19 vaccines to be fully registered, as opposed to being used under emergency authorisation during the pandemic. As there has been no application to HSA for the Sinovac-CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine to be fully registered, the vaccine will cease to be offered under the NVP. Eligible individuals who wish to receive the Sinovac-CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine are advised to do so by 30 September 2024.
2. The Ministry of Health (MOH) had, on 28 October 2023, announced that the Sinovac-CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine would no longer be available under the NVP should there be no application for it to be fully registered. As production has stopped, the supply of the Sinovac-CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine is currently not commercially available in Singapore, and private clinics are also unable to provide it under the Special Access Route.
