As of 9 July 2021, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified that there is 1 case of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, who is currently unlinked. There are 9 imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. 6 were detected upon arrival in Singapore, while 3 developed the illness during SHN or isolation. In total, there are 10 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore today.

2. Overall, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 46 cases in the week before to 21 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has increased from 6 cases in the week before to 9 cases in the past week. The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 1.7 and 1.3 respectively.

Condition of confirmed cases
5. 85 cases are currently warded in hospital. Most are well and under observation. There are currently 8 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 2 in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Progress of national vaccination programme
7. As of 8 July 2021, we have administered a total of 6,083,907 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme. The total number of doses administered was 6,083,907, covering 3,843,179 individuals. 2,240,728 individuals have received their second dose and completed the full vaccination regimen.
