Name and Constituency of Member of Parliament
Ms Rachel Ong
MP for West Coast GRC
Question No. 761
To ask the Minister for Health whether adults and children aged 12 and above with special needs who face difficulties wearing masks outdoors can be prioritised for COVID-19 vaccination.
Written Answer
Since February 2021, vaccinations have been prioritised for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), particularly those who live closely in residential homes, or attend daily centre-based services. In addition, since June 2021, vaccinations have been rolled out for students at Special Education (SPED) schools. MOH is also working with MSF and SG Enable to vaccinate PwDs who are home-bound.
As all Singapore Citizens and long-term residents aged 12 and above are now eligible to register for their vaccinations, we encourage all who are eligible, including special needs individuals with difficulty wearing masks, to register for vaccinations.
