To ask the Minister for Health whether the Ministry tracks the vaccination rate of taxi and private-hire vehicle drivers and, if so, what is the vaccination rate.
Written Answer
Since Feb 2021, we have progressively offered vaccinations to taxi and private-hire vehicle drivers. As of 1 July, about 92% (48,846 of 53,268) active Private Hire Car and Taxi Drivers have been vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine, of which 86% (46,054 of 53,268) have completed both doses.
We would like to thank the taxi and private-hire vehicle drivers’ community for their strong support in the vaccination programme.
