QUESTION NO. 1097

To ask the Minister for Health (a) what are the conditions for the distribution of masks and hand sanitisers at the vaccination centres; and (b) whether there will be standardisation of what is to be given to persons who go for vaccinations at the centres.

Answer

1       Masks and hand sanitisers were distributed at vaccination centres as a gesture of goodwill to encourage people to observe safe management measures and practise good personal hygiene. This was an initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and supported by People’s Association in partnership with the medical service providers at the vaccination centres.

2      The medical service providers at the vaccination centres are given the discretion to provide additional complimentary items to members of public who receive their vaccination, if they are assessed to be appropriate and safe.
